Rates & Insurance
Why I am a private-pay practice
-
Insurance companies require a formal mental health diagnosis to approve treatment, which becomes a permanent part of your medical record. I want your personal information to be as protected and confidential as you want it to be.
-
Insurance can dictate how long your session lasts (usually under 53 minutes) and for how long you are able to come. I want those decisions to be determined by us. Effective therapy in your life does not always fit neatly into tradtional sessions.
-
Many times we just need support to help us process life. Things like divorce, changing roles, taking care of adult parents, changes in sleep and physical health, don’t always lead to an official diagnosis. That does not mean you do not need support.
Therapy Rates
Payment is due at the time of service through the secure client portal. I accept all credit cards, HSA, and FSA cards. Your full credit card information is not stored. If you need a superbill, I will provide that to you at the end of each month.
I do provide a few clients a sliding scale option when available. We can discuss this during our free consultation.

Unfortunately, I am not a great resource about insurance, but a few reminders:
always check with your company about your specific benefits and steps
you pay at the tiime of service, I provide you with a superbill, and you submit it to your insurance.
your superbill will need to have a diagnostic code
-
The policies vary with these funds, so please verify what your funds can cover and if you need a diagnosis to show medical necessity.
-
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your therapy services will cost. I will provide this when you schedule your first appointment so that you have full financial clarity.
