Therapy when you need support for meaningful change
Change is hard. If you are struggling with poor sleep, the impacts of ADHD or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or an unexpected major life event, changing on your own can feel overwhelming.
I offer online therapy throughout Tennessee and in-person therapy in the Nashville, Brentwood, and Franklin areas, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).

I hear from people I support with sleep issues:
“I have tried all the sleep tips, tricks, and supplements to improve my sleep. No matter what I do, it does not get consistently better and it is impacting my health, my work and my relationships. I am tired of being tired. I don’t want to depend on medications. I need support and a proven way to feel hopeful it can change. I have read or heard about CBT-I, but I am skeptical.”
I hear from people I support with ADHD/ASD:
“Why can’t I be more consistent? I know what I should do, but I just can’t make myself do it on demand. When someone tells me to do something a certain way, it either makes me want to do the opposite, or I get distracted and forget. It makes me feel frustrated, lazy, and bad about myself. Then, I start the cycle again to do better.”
I hear from people I support dealing with a challenging moment in life (divorce, illness, caretaking, career change, role changes):
““This feels so hard and overwhelming. I don’t know how to move forward. I am still trying to function in my daily life for myself and others, and it feels suffocating. I don’t know how to process this in any kind of a positive way to move forward. I have all of these expectations and roles in my life and this changed everything and I don’t know who I am anymore.”
It can feel awkward to reach out, but I will be friendly, nonjudgemental and open to the questions you have during the free consultation and every interaction after that. Therapy works when you feel seen, heard and comfortable to heal and change
Schedule a free telehealth consultation at time that works for you, or fill out the contact form and I will reach out to you within 24 hours.
I will ask you a few questions about your hopes, goals, needs and preferences.
You will ask me any questions you have about me and therapy.
We will decide the next steps. Do you need more time to process? Are you ready to schedule an intake session?
The initial paperwork and figuring out logistics is not the most exciting, but it allows everything after to be focused on change and healing.
The first session is incredibly important. At your pace, we take 90 minutes to explore the different parts of your life. We’ll identify your strengths, values, current challenges, past experiences that still affect you, and the reality of your life right now. Together, we’ll prioritize your goals, and begin creating an action plan.
What are the next steps?
What can therapy look like?
Is traditional therapy right for me?
Attending therapy once a week can be a perfect fit for a lot of people looking for support to heal and change. You will have the opportunity to:
apply skills and strategies to your life outside the therapy room at a regular pace
know that you have set that time aside for yourself each week to process and reinforce important skills and insights
allow yourself to adjust your goals as your move forward
meet traditional therapy criteria if you choose to submit a superbill to insurance
Traditional Therapy
90-minute intake session ($200)
Additional sessions in either format:
45-minute session w/15 minute telehealth check in between sessions ($175)
60-minute session ($160)
Is an intensive program right for me?
Intensive programs are built around a thorough intake session that guides:
a focused, deeper approach to your immediate needs and goals
sessions that have less distractions and transitions
a faster pace and path to your goals
scheduling that is more compact and convenient for some people
support that you need right now for an unexpected life event that is unrelated to a specific mental health diagnosis
Jumpstart/Intensive
90-minute intake session
3-hour intensive session
15-minute telehealth check-in’s (you schedule 2)
60-minute follow-up session to celebrate and make a resource kit for continued growth
Package Total ($750)
Either model can be through telehealth, in-person, or a combination.
I currently do not accept insurance. I offer a limited number of sessions on a sliding scale. Please click on the Rates & Insurance button for more information.

👋🏼 Hi there! I’m Jackie.
I am an educator and licensed clinical social worker. I believe that therapy should match your current values, goals and lifestyle. Your past experiences are important if they are still impacting you, but we always want to move forward through new actions. It will sometimes be a very comfortable space AND sometimes a slightly uncomfortable space, as you are making real change. I believe strongly that two things can be true at the same time.
Therapy works when it provides you a supported environment that is comfortable (“safe”) enough for you to really heal and change and participate in your life in a new way. That is what I provide for you.
I provide telehealth in Tennessee and limited in-person therapy in Middle Tennessee (Nashville/Brentwood/Franklin) in traditional and unique formats.
I bring a wide variety of life experiences, certifications and trainings to my sessions with tolerance, humor, and flexibility.
Therapy With Me Is
an environment where you feel comfortable and supported to do the healing and change you need. Your initial session (intake) is essential for me to support you effectively.
flexible (It can fit your needs and schedule)— weekly sessions, or custom intensives
meaningful and practical
a NO JUDGEMENT ZONE. I expect the unexpected and unusual at this point- trust me in that I have experienced or witnessed a wide range of issues.
guided by your needs, values and goals.
I consider myself eclectic. I use a wide range of modalities that match you (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and components of Somatic Therapy).
customized to your presenting issues and needs. For example, utilizing evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) for improving sleep.

If you already have a diagnosis of chronic insomnia and have addressed medical causes of sleep issues, CBT-I is a 6 to 8 session program that has been found to be very effective in improving sleep (as effective as medications) without side effects and with longer lasting improvements than medication. We can utilize components of the program if you have issues with your sleep (trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, lack of efficient sleep), but do not meet the full criteria for chronic insomnia, or just want to improve your sleep habits.

If you have been officially diagnosed, we can identify which traits or consistent behaviors have the biggest impact on your daily life. It is not about changing or fixing you. Instead, it is about building knowledge, self-awareness, skills (emotional regulation, executive functioning) and confidence to feel more positive about yourself and what you can accomplish.

Sometimes change is about reinvention. The willingness and desire to change can only come after we have time to honor and process how we got here. This is true when we didn’t ask or want the change (divorce, unexpected loss, chronic illness, caregiving to a loved one) or when we knew it was coming, but we have been impacted more than we expected (career change, aging, children leaving)

Are you ready for things to be different? That’s all we need to get started.
You bring the willingness to change, and I will bring the support, knowledge, and strategies that match your unique strengths, values and goals.
